The Secret Circle was unfortunately cancelled by TheCW Network due to their ratings and the inability to fuel the production costs of the show. Many fans out there would like to see this show continue on with it\’s 2nd season despite having been cancelled overб5 years ago. While this seems like a long shot, it\’s certainly NOT impossible. The show, The X-Files ended over 10 years ago and is now seeing a revival with all original cast. Let us be hopeful for something incredible. I have a belief that Netflix will be able to carry this show under its wing and be able to capture the hearts of fans who have avidly followed Charmed, The Witches of East End and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
They have successfully been able to remaster Daredevil in a way that was cinematically stunning and appropriate. If anyone can bring out this show\’s true potential, Netflix certainly can. The first season was dramatically left with such an incredible cliffhanger – something that Netflix can surely successfully play with. I am in hopes that this will raise awareness and gain some sort of backing as I am sick and tired of seeing shows that have immense legitimacy be cancelled before their potentials are even seen.
If you watch The Secret Circle on Netflix, you will see that every episode donnes a 5-star rating. I hope that this doesn\’t get ignored! The petition to renew the show for a second season can be found here:
Sadly, didn\’t garner a large enough viewership to keep The CW interested Б despite the fact that it had a great time slot behind its sister show,. Though started out strong(ish), its ratings declined steadily until the end of the season.
Its final episode on May 10 brought in 1. 28 million viewers, a drop from Бs 2. 53 million. were renewed (as they had comparable ratings), but rumor has it that has a strong fan base overseas, and apparently swarms of fan-girls watch online. The CW also cancelled Sarah Michelle Gellar\’s show, (based on Green Arrow), ), (a meta crime drama), (a modern-day retelling of the classic story), and (a medical dramz). Sounds like a fun group of newbies, but nothing will replace in our hearts. Sob!
