Comic Relief is a charity founded in 1985 in response to famine in Ethiopia. The highlight of Comic ReliefБs appeal is Red Nose Day, a day where people raise money by doing something fun and appeal for sponsorship in order to do so. The charity states that its aim is to Бbring about positive and lasting change in the lives of poor and disadvantaged people, which we believe requires investing in work that addresses peopleБs immediate needs as well as tackling the root causes of poverty and injusticeБ.

One of the fundamental principles behind working at Comic Relief is the БGolden Pound PrincipleБ where every single donated pound is spent on charitable projects. All operating costs, such as staff salaries, are covered by corporate sponsors, or interest earned on money waiting to be distributed. We were asked to arrive on Friday in Tuxedos / Black Tie or TiaraБs in exchange for a donation towards Comic Relief. To add to the fun we weБre also provided with a classic British meal Fish Chips van at our soap making factory along with cakes buns!

ItБs important to us as a company to give something back to those who arenБt as fortunate as us. ItБs easy to forget how lucky we are to have such things as running clean water and good sanitation. Many others around the world donБt have easy access to the simple things we take for granted. By close of end of play we had managed to raise an incredible бе2000 which is a great step towards making a change.
